Located just 26 highway miles from Dublin, Rickenbacker International Airport combines national and international air freight service with the economic advantages of a general purpose Foreign Trade Zone. Rickenbacker operates an international multi-modal cargo airport, a charter passenger terminal, a U.S. Foreign Trade Zone and a distribution hub. Rickenbacker's new intermodal facility, used for the interchange of shipping containers between trains and trucks, will provide direct access from existing industrial parks to multiple transportation options, reducing the overall transportation costs for domestic and international shippers.

Three major railroads operate routes through Columbus providing piggyback and rail car shipping capabilities with two offering export-import containerization facilities. Other transportation is provided by more than 140 motor freight companies, and, as one of three inland ports in the United States, Columbus receives and ships U.S. Customs sealed containers to the Pacific Rim.

In addition to being in close proximity to two major airports, Dublin also is served by the Central Ohio Transit Authority, which provides bus transportation throughout the region.
