Community & Area Attractions
Dublin's community life is characterized by the friendliness of its residents, the special events that bring everyone together and the camaraderie displayed at the City's recreation center, neighborhood parks and soccer fields.
Dublin is home to more than 14 area golf courses all distinctly different from one another. The Golf Club of Dublin, with its British links-style course, is the first of its kind in the Midwest and was designed by world-renowned designers Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. Complementing the green space provided by these courses are more than 1,000 acres of parkland, 77 miles of scenic bike paths and 39 parks ranging from wooded natural areas and river frontage to intensely active athletic facilities.
Dublin's historic district offers quaint shops, inviting streetscapes and unique eateries, which line the streets. The city is located just minutes from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, regional shopping malls and a wide-range of performing arts including ballet, opera, symphony, theater and top-recording artists.
Highlighting the city's annual slate of special events is the Jack Nicklaus' Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin. Other popular area attractions are the Dublin Irish Festival, one of the nation's largest, the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets, Ohio State's Big Ten athletic teams, Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew and the Washington Nationals AAA affiliate Columbus Clippers.
